How It Works

The Navigator's Path to Land Management Recognition

A step-by-step pathway for people working the land.

Collect Your Evidence

Using your personalised checklist, gather evidence that demonstrates your skills and experience. This may include employment records, certificates, photos, videos, or supervisor references. Your Navigator will guide you every step of the way.
01

Receive Your Enrolment & RPL Docs

We’ll send your Enrolment Form and LLN Assessment to complete first. Following that, you’ll receive your Self-Assessment Form and Third-Party Verification Form to work through carefully before moving to the next step.
02

Submit Your Completed Forms

Complete and sign all required forms, then return them along with your full evidence portfolio. Ensure every section is filled in, all signatures are included, and all supporting documents are attached before submitting.
03

Assessment and Competency Review

Your RTO Assessor will review and map your evidence against the required unit competencies. Where further clarification is needed, a competency conversation will be conducted to confirm your knowledge and skills.
04

Outcome Issued

Once assessed as competent across all required units, the RTO will formally issue your certificate or Statement of Attainment. Your real-world experience is now officially recognised as a nationally accredited qualification.

FAQ

The Answers You Need Before You Start Your Agriculture and Land Management Recognition
I've worked in horticulture for years without a formal certificate. Can RPL still recognise my experience?

Yes. If you can show real propagation, planting, and site maintenance experience — through work records, photos, or a supervisor reference — that experience can be assessed against AHC30722 Certificate III in Horticulture.

Does holding a chemical handling ticket like ChemCert help my RPL application?+

Yes. A current ChemCert or SMARTtrain ticket is strong supporting evidence for the safety and compliance side of your competency, though it works alongside your practical experience rather than replacing it.

I manage the business side of a farm rather than doing hands-on horticulture work. Is there still a pathway for me?+

Yes. AHC51422 Diploma of Agribusiness Management is built specifically for people managing farm operations, budgets, and production, separate from the practical horticulture qualifications.

What's the practical difference between Certificate III and Certificate IV in Horticulture?+

AHC30722 Certificate III in Horticulture covers hands-on propagation, planting, and maintenance work, while AHC40422 Certificate IV in Horticulture recognises supervisory-level skills such as managing a small team or planning site works.
