Receive Your Enrolment & RPL Docs

We'll send your Enrolment Form and LLN Assessment to complete first. Following that, you'll receive your SelfAssessment Form and Third-Party Verification Form to work through carefully before moving to the next step.

Submit Your Completed Forms

Complete and sign all required forms, then return them along with your full evidence portfolio. Ensure every section is filled in, all signatures are included, and all supporting documents are attached before submitting.

Assessment and Competency Review

Your RTO Assessor will review and map your evidence against the required unit competencies. Where further clarification is needed, a competency conversation will be conducted to confirm your knowledge and skills.

Outcome Issued

Once assessed as competent across all required units, the RTO will formally issue your certificate or Statement of Attainment. Your real-world experience is now officially recognised as a nationally accredited qualification.

Can I get MEM30219 through RPL without going back to full-time study?

Yes, RPL lets a partner RTO assess your existing mechanical trade experience against the same national standard used in full-time training, rather than starting the qualification from scratch. You will still need to gather solid workplace evidence and go through a genuine formal assessment process before the RTO issues anything.

How much real-world experience do I need for a mechanical trade RPL application?

There is no fixed number of years required, what matters is having enough current, relevant evidence to demonstrate you can do the job, such as job cards, maintenance logs, technical drawings you have worked from and supervisor references. The more of these you can pull together from recent mechanical trade work, the stronger your evidence portfolio will be for the assessor.

Is a Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade earned through RPL the same as one from an apprenticeship?

Yes, it is the exact same AQF-registered MEM30219 qualification, issued by our ASQA-registered partner RTO regardless of the pathway you took to get there. RPL is simply a different route to demonstrating the same competencies apprenticeship training assesses.
