Get recognised for the carpentry skills you’ve built on real construction sites. CPC30326 Certificate III in Carpentry is the current trade qualification for carpenters in residential and commercial workplaces, covering setting out, manufacturing, constructing, assembling, installing and repairing products made from timber and non-timber materials. Through RPL, ATSR guides you in converting that on-the-job experience into a nationally recognised qualification, assessed and issued by one of our partner RTOs.

Yes, experienced carpenters can apply for CPC30326 through RPL, where a partner RTO formally assesses the carpentry skills you already use on site against the qualification. You still go through a genuine assessment of your evidence before the qualification is issued.
You need real evidence of the carpentry work you have done, such as setting-out records, job cards, plans you have worked from, and photos or short videos of framing, roofing, flooring and formwork jobs. Assessors match this evidence against each unit, so records that clearly show your own work carry the most weight.
Yes, it is the same AQF-registered Certificate III in Carpentry, issued by the ASQA-registered RTO that assesses your evidence. RPL is a different pathway to the identical qualification, and ATSR guides you through that pathway while the partner RTO assesses and issues it.
CPC30326 is the current Certificate III in Carpentry, and training.gov.au maps it as equivalent to CPC30220, which is now superseded. Both are built around Commercial, Formwork and Residential Carpenter work with the same 27 core and 7 elective unit structure.
