Looking to move from venue supervisor to operations manager, or baker to head baker?

Our Navigators can map your hospitality or food production experience to the right qualification pathway for your career goals.
How It Works

The Navigator's Path to Hospitality and Food Recognition

A step-by-step pathway to formal recognition across hospitality, baking, and food production.

Collect Your Evidence

Using your personalised checklist, gather evidence that demonstrates your skills and experience. This may include employment records, certificates, photos, videos, or supervisor references. Your Navigator will guide you every step of the way.
01

Receive Your Enrolment & RPL Docs

We’ll send your Enrolment Form and LLN Assessment to complete first. Following that, you’ll receive your Self-Assessment Form and Third-Party Verification Form to work through carefully before moving to the next step.
02

Submit Your Completed Forms

Complete and sign all required forms, then return them along with your full evidence portfolio. Ensure every section is filled in, all signatures are included, and all supporting documents are attached before submitting.
03

Assessment and Competency Review

Your RTO Assessor will review and map your evidence against the required unit competencies. Where further clarification is needed, a competency conversation will be conducted to confirm your knowledge and skills.
04

Outcome Issued

Once assessed as competent across all required units, the RTO will formally issue your certificate or Statement of Attainment. Your real-world experience is now officially recognised as a nationally accredited qualification.

FAQ

The Answers You Need Before You Start Your Food and Hospitality Recognition
I've managed a venue for years without a formal hospitality qualification. Can RPL recognise that?

Yes. If you can demonstrate real venue or hospitality management experience through rosters, budgets, and references from an owner or area manager, that experience can be assessed against SIT50422 Diploma of Hospitality Management.

I've worked in a commercial bakery for years without a formal certificate. Can RPL recognise that?+

Yes. If you can demonstrate real baking experience through production records, photos of your work, and an employer reference, that experience can be assessed against FBP30321 Certificate III in Cake and Pastry.

I supervise a bakery or kitchen team rather than doing all the hands-on work myself. Is there a higher-level qualification for that?+

Yes. FBP40221 Certificate IV in Baking recognises higher-level skills such as production planning and supervising a team, and SIT60322 Advanced Diploma of Hospitality Management covers senior leadership across hospitality venues — your Navigator will map which fits your role.

I hold my RSA, RCG, or a food safety supervisor certificate but no formal management qualification. Is that enough on its own?+

Not on its own, but combined with rosters, production records, and references demonstrating your operational experience, your current tickets form a valuable part of the overall evidence portfolio.
